Spirit Week

This week at E.S.M.S. is spirit week.
Monday was Superhero Day and many of us (including teachers) dressed up as our
favorite superheroes. Batman and Superman were both popular characters and some
students even brought masks. Tuesday was Twin Day and our entire school was
full of fraternal twins. Kids here came up with very many creative and unusual
ideas.
Today is decades day and
E.S.M.S. feels like a living timeline. There are people dressed up as far back
as the 1890’s! Crazy 80’s clothes and colors are everywhere and poodle skirts
are also a popular fashion today. The
teachers especially got into today seeing as they are all old enough to have
actually experienced these trends.
Tomorrow is Tiger Spirit Day
and I can tell that our school is going to be all decked out in Tigers gear.
Notably because some of Excelsior’s sports teams have started up and all of the
uniforms and jerseys have at least some black and gold in them.
