Around the school lots of things have been going on. For instance, in sixth grade they are studying Egypt. They are using interactive elements such as iPads, textbooks, and videos. In seventh grade they are learning about car crusades. In eighth grade they are learning about high school and setting up their schedules. Cheerleading sign ups are posted around the school, pretty much everywhere. Science Olympiad is still taking people if you are interested. Tutoring is still an option if you grades are slipping.

Around school many different things happening. Cheerleader camp sign ups have been featured around the school and you can still join Science Olympiad if you want to. It is a few weeks into second semester and getting closer to the end of the year! Keep those grades at a least B+ or above and you shall easily past whatever grade you’re in.

Techsperts in action by Gracey

Hi my name is Gracey. I am in Ms Travis’s 7th hour techsperts class. I am here to tell you about my techspert experience over the past week. I don't have many assignment this first week but as we go on we have bigger projects that will take a couple days.

    Let me tell you about the gagets that we have been experimenting with. The first gaget is the sphero. The sphero is a little ball with a robot inside that you can control from just a simple app on your device. We have also been messing around with the virtual reality head sets. This is also controlled by the descriptive device for that particular one that the head set needs to fit.

    But we have been doing the theme park one where you ride rollar coasters and you have to move with the rollar coaster as if you were actually riding it, or, it’s not as fun as it would be if you were doing the movements with the video/app.

    This is what my week of techsperts have been for me. I hope you do techsperts or learn more about these gadgets and get into think this that. Thank you for wanting to know about my week of techsperts. I hope you do techsperts future 6th graders!

Hi! My name is Jaylenn. I am 12 years young. My favorite subject is math. I enjoy swimming, cheering, and jumping on my trampoline. I come from a family of 3 and have a dog named Sophie.

    Hi my name is Abby im in Mrs Travis 7th grade techspert I play a lot of sports like soccer, softball, dance, and basketball. I also get rewards and in soccer we are in A1 league (A1 league is the highest division in our league) my soccer team is called Amigos. The people on my team is Bailey, Mason, Christian, Cater, Louisa Bailee, Madison, Nolon, Jas, Jase, Tylor, and  Trever. I’m also a crazy fun girl but I listen to all of my teachers and I do what the teacher ask me too also i’ve never been to the safe seat. I try to get 3 and 4 in my classes trying my hardest even when I don't get the answers

Hi my name is Alayna im 12 years old and im a 6th hour techspert. I enjoy softball, reading, art, and shopping. I have 1 brother thats 24 and a sister thats 19. My favorite class in school is science and P.E. I like to watch the royals play baseball. Im very athletic and I love all sports even tho I hate running. I love being a techspert.

Hi my name is Caroline and I am a 6th hour Techspert! I am the oldest sister of 4 and I live on a farm. Me and my family own goats, dogs, cats, horses, ponies, and we use to have ducks and chickens. My dad runs a lot. He runs 100 mile races! My mom is a stay at home mom and takes care of all the animals. I love school and everything about it. My favorite class is hard to decide. I love them all! My favorite color is green and my favorite animal is a horse but would be a Utahraptor if it was still alive. I love dinosaurs and dragons. My favorite pastime activity is reading. I am glad to be helping around my school as a Techspert.

Introducing Emily

My name is Emily and I am a techspert here at Excelsior Springs Middle School. I am on team Kraken in sixth grade. A few of my hobbies are dance (all types,) theater, writing, and art. I used to play soccer with a competitive team but then chose to only continue doing dance. I have been in dance for nine years now. I am also involved in the community theatre here in town and have been in a countless amount of plays. My favorite subject(s) in school are art, gym, and math. I am happy to help with any of your technology needs.

Leave my mark by Ethan

For my leave your mark project I would like to make a painting that would represent the fantasy section. My idea was that I would make a wizard but ot be a tiger and he would be at a magic book alter and he would be reading one of the books but with his powers it would be floating the book would be. And I think this would make the library a better place is that this painting would show that reading is magical and fun for all evan for people with magic. And that is my idea for our leave your mark project.

Semester Blog by Lainey

In first semester techsperts what i liked most is how we got to decide what project we were going to do for our leave your mark project. Because we all got to work together to come up with an idea of what to do. When we get to go back to school we are all going to be excited to start the project. Our project is Ms. Travis’ office, we are completely cleaning it out and painting the room and making it the techsperts learning space. We are going to have everything organized to how we want it so we can find it whenever we need it.
