Goals by Gracie Creason

My goal is to be top twenty in highschool but to reach that goal I have to study for the map test which is the building blocks to reach that goal. But I need to do a good job on my regular tests, and then do well on my map test. And keep practicing to reach my goal. Learning is so important for your future because you never stop learning. The map test affects your future though. It goes on your school record which can affect what college you get into.

And because you never stop learning you might as well get used to the fact that learning is going to be part of your everyday schedule? And your map test is about stuff that you learn which makes just as important of not more than any other regular test.

WEB by Maddie McFee

In web we set goals short term and long term one of my web kids said they wanted to be a scientist, we asked him how he was going to achieve that goal he said he was going to keep his grades up and study more. Another one said she wanted to be a veterinarian she said she is going to work harder and keep her grades up. There are some examples of the long term goals they had. Here are some short term goals they had, they all want to keep getting good grades, and stay with their friends through high school.

Book Fair by Payton Conyers

The new 2016 book fair is coming.get ready to take a throwback to the 70s. This years book fair theme is peace, love, and books. We have already started planning and this year is going to be a great book fair. We have great plans. It starts April 25 and ends April 29. Come join us for our book fair and we will have a great selection of books. By: Payton conyers

This Semester by Aubrey Burton

So far this semester I haven't done much. But since the book fair is coming up I am super

excited for the projects to come. My group is working on the lava lamp for the book fair. I can't

wait for the special effects we will be using to make the lava lamp “come to life.” So far I am

coming up with ideas to help make the lava lamp look more realistic. My latest idea towards that

is to use lights that will shine up from the bottom creating a distant glow.

Something new has come to our school. Well it's a new rule, the 10 x 10 rule, you may or may

not have heard of it. I will be completely honest, at first I was kinda skeptical about it but after

hearing the reason why we have it, I'm all for it!! Some certain events have caused this and it

has come to my realization that we have this rule for 2 very important reasons, our safety and

our health. Obviously our safety because it's keeping us safe! It is stopping us from creating

certain problems. But why our health, you may ask? Well if we are in the bathroom how are we

supposed to learn? Exactly we don't. So it is very important that we have this rule not only for

our safety but for our health too.

Excitement by Jordan Foulk

I am so EXCITED!!! The bookfair is coming and I get to help bring all the magic of books together. This is going to be AMAZING! Even though there might not be many new books we will be able to buy books that we waited to long to get. The vibe in the learning commons is going to be mellow and calm and always filled with fun! Remember to donate to all 4 books for the children to read books in the summer.  In the next couple months the learning commons is going to be crazy busy making and setting up decorations. So many other things are happening to the library that it is mind boggling. So make sure to look at the ads for the book fair.

Reflection by Cameron Huett

Hello, welcome to another addition of Techspert Blogs with Cameron. This blog is about my last

semester as a Techspert and my goals for this new semester. Last semester was my first

semester as a Techspert so it was a time to learn the ends and outs of the job. It didn't take long

to learn this job but the real work came later. Once the book fair was over it was smooth sailing

out of the semester.

For this semester I want to be more helpful for teachers and I want to do more work with

people outside of our building. I want to be helpful for our entire district. The reason I want to do

this is so that people will have a greater understanding of technology. I hope also to help people

have a greater appreciation for technology since we have sum an abundance of it in our district.

These have been my goals for this semester and I hope to achieve them soon.

Snow...by Cassidy Bradshaw

This week has been an interesting week thanks to snow. Tuesday we got out early and today we got here two hours late. Everyone's in such a good mood today cause they have gotten two hours of extra sleep. By the way school has planned out so far I think it's going to be a good week. (written 1/20/2016)

Looking forward to HS...by Rylee Johnson

So far this semester has been easy because it's our last semester of school, but we still have to get prepared for the MAP test. We still have learning to do, but fun learning. 8th grade year so far has been so much fun, but I am looking forward to high school! Can't wait

Late Start Reflection by Madeline Evert

It's 2nd semester and we just used our first late start day. I wouldn't mind if we have done late start every time. The roads were really bad this morning and I honestly thought we were going to wreck. We should've just cancelled school and made it up instead of having low attendance, because not a lot of people are here today. I like this new idea of late start.

Reflection by Allie Hatch

My goal for this semester as a techspert is to be a better leader. My goal is to step up instead of

just standing back and not doing much. I want kids to be able to come and talk to me about

anything. I want to be a leader not a follower. I want to encourage kids to try new things. To be

the leader I want to be I must come out of my shell and talk to kids more to help them.

Wattpad by Gracie Creason

Wattpad is something everyone should try. It's great when you read a book on there the author updates it so you can see how much they improve as a writer. And it's the bomb dot com. You can read fanfiction. What is fanfiction? Fanfiction is you being a fan of something whether it be a band, a book, or a t.v. show. You can write about it. But you can also make up stories and put them on there.

Wattpad is so addicting, something about reading one of a kind stories on there is great. I have gotten so many friends to start reading on there. I absolutely suggest getting wattpad because you will opened to a whole new world of reading. Whether you hate reading or love it I can almost guarantee that you will love it.

SNOW by Avrie Christiansen

As you may have noticed, it's been snowing a lot lately. The roads are getting really bad and it's difficult to drive to and from school. Buses are getting stuck in the snow, and parents cars are getting stuck, and everything is so hectic. Last week, we got out of school early on Tuesday. And on Wednesday, we came to school later. All of the basketball games got canceled on Tuesday and Thursday. So snow can really be a buzz kill, but be careful when you head to school.

Reflection by Rylee Johnson

First semester of 8th grade year was fun, but challenging. This last year of middle school is eye opening because next year, we are in high school and have real responsibilities. Last semester showed me how to work hard and strive to be the best, and this semester will show me even more. No matter how much I will miss middle school, I know high school will be so much more fun and mature. I can't wait for this semester, and see what it brings me.

Second semester will be the best because it's the last few months of middle school! I'm going to do my best in school work, and be the best while getting ready for high school!

Reflection by Madeline Evert

First semester was a lot of fun, and a lot of hard work. The Book Fair was  so much lots of ideas and everyone put in their best effort to help out ESMS and the learning commons to be placed. We are going to be getting started on the spring book fair. Being a techs pert has been so much fun and I've learned a lot I'm thankful for miss Travis to pick me to be a techs pert. You  have a lot  to work on but it's worth it. You get to help with the book fair and everything thing else including iPads and helping students etc..

Goals that I want to set for second semester is to become even better at school work and helping others. A struggle that we all faced was finding out scholastic changed their book fair idea to zombies. We were almost done with all the monster stuff and we got an email. We still kept the monster theme because everything was out and ready. We knew that our monster theme would be just as good as the zombie theme. We need to work on just because something comes across doesn't mean you have to restart just keep going and make it even better!

Reflection by Morgan Schindler

First semester as a techspert was a success. We created an amazing bookfair, helped teachers create lessons, and dealt with many iPad issues. The learning commons was always busy, no matter what time of day. My favorite part about being a techspert was making the bookfair. We started coming up with ideas before the 2014-2015 school year was even over. We worked extremely hard for to make an amazing book fair.

The thing I'm most excited about for this semester is the peace love and books book fair. I love creating decorations and coming up with ways to transform the learning commons into a fun and exciting place to come.

Reflection by Jackson Houston

This semester, I have been allowed to become a Techspert. I wanted to become one because I

wanted to help people with their IPads and be a part of the book fair. Some of my goals for this

semester are to win 1st place in the book fair, and help many students with all of their problems.

I look forward to learning about the IPads and how to fix things about them. I wanted to be a

part of the book fair last semester, but I didn't know how to help. Now I do, and I am glad I

became a Techspert.

Reflection by Julie Yanits

Welcome back to the second semester of school!!!!!

I hope everyone had an awesome break. First semester tech supports was a success. We learned and taught people about sphero. We made a awesome monster book fair. We made awesome decorations and made it the best book fair we could.

This semester I'm look forward to the peace love and groovy book fair. We are already planning some cool stuff for it. We will have fun stuff to do and have amazing decorations. We hope a lot of people come. I hope you are excited about the book fair as much as we are. Have a awesome second semester.

Reflection by Zane Lohman

Last year I had a good year with my techspert crew, we accomplished
all the goals and had fun while doing it. We had a lot of fun with the
bookfair making all of our ideas come to life! We also helped many
people with iPads and set-up at the beginning of the year.
Next year I hope we have just as much fun and i hope we make the
bookfair even greater than before as that is always our goal. I will
strive for the best with our group. The thing I am most excited about
for next year is creating the bookfair and watching it come to life
just like last year, it will be so much fun with the topic peace,

Reflection by Payton Conyers

In the first semester it was kind of hard being a techspert . It was confusing and difficult but at the same time it was fun and a new adventure. This year are book-fair was really good we all helped. I want to help more this year.

This semester I want to be more helpful in the book-fair. I want to be a big Part in of it. This year I have a feeling we are going to have a book fair that is like never before. I. I want to push myself this year to work harder and help out a lot.

Maddie McFee

Last semester was a great start to the year and this semester is going to be even better. We had a blast last semester with the book fair and making the learning commons a fun place to read books. In my opinion Techsperts have done a great job making the learning commons a better place to learn.

My goal for the rest of this year is to have more knowledge on technology and to help more people when they need it. One thing I wish to happen is that I can help more people when they need it. This semester the Techsperts are going to make the learning commons an even better place. I'm a Techspert and a web leader, I'm going to make the learning commons better by helping out more and thinking about more Ideas to improve the learning commons.

Reflection by Taylor Dusek

Being a techspert has a lot of responsibility. In the first semester the bookfair took up most of our time but we did a good job making sure everyone got books, their iPads fixed, and help if they needed it. I wasn't as big as apart of the bookfair I wish I had been so my goal is to help out as much as I can.

This semester my goal is for all of us to use our ideas and create and even better bookfair. I'm going to try to give as many ideas as I have. And make sure I'm always helping. I have a feeling this is going to be a great bookfair and semester.

Reflection by Cassidy Bradshaw

Last semester was pretty good. I got to class on time everyday, I got really good grades, over all it was great. The book fair was a smash hit. I slimed a teacher along with many of my friends. I donated money to all for books. Hoping next semester will be as great.
Being a techspert is one of my highlights last semester It was such an amazing and different experience. I think that I did good at being a techspert. I think everyone who was one this year did great. Everyone worked really good together. We got things don't faster as the semester progressed. I think a goal k can set for myself this semester is to get more decorations done. This semesters going to be great!

Reflection by Sierra Hightower

My first semester as a techspert was really fun. I think it was a successful semester. I think I was successful with the book fair. I think I did good getting my projects done and helping decorate the front doors. As a group I think we did really well, but there are a couple things we could all improve on. We need to improve on the communication in between the classes, because a lot of times we would be using something and when we came back it would be gone or be used for something else. We also need to improve on getting our ideas together and finish them on time. We were kind of rushing around to get every thing done.
My goals for this semester are to not procrastinate all the time. I am really bad about waiting till the last minute to do things. I would also like to improve on my blogs and working my hardest. A lot of times I decide I don't want to do something so I don't try hard and I don't want to do that anymore.

Reflection by Liam Greim

Last semester I feel that I was a pretty awesome Techspert.  But I do think I did have a few weaknesses as a Techspert as well.  For instance, I would end up putting off work for a fairly long period of time.  This semester to do better I will try to be more focused on my objective.

This semester I will try to be a much better Techspert and try to help every student with an iPad problem, I have commonly allowed my fellow Techsperts to help the students who come in.  I'm hoping that this will be a great semester.

Reflection by Madi Cole

Some of my goals for next semester as a techspert are to learn more about iPads and help other students be able to excel in their education using technology. I want to solve their problems quickly and efficiently so they can get back to class quicker. When I'm in class with my friends and their iPads don't work, I try to fix the issue so they don't come down to the learning commons. I really enjoy being a library helper because coming up with ideas for the book fair and helping my peers.
This semester I want to help turn the learning commons into a more productive place for students to come down and work harder. I want the library to be a place where students feel comfortable to do their work and come to a quiet environment. I love being here and helping other students.

Refleciton by Zayden Whitmore

The reason I wanted to be a techspert is to help people with problems on there iPads and

other electronics. Also to be apart of something in our school to help others and our school. I

feel like it would be a lot of fun to help the library with the book fair and make projects. To fix

other people's iPads. And I think ms. Travis is really funny and awesome to have as a teacher.

I am good with technology. I am also good at problem solving and I have common sense. I also

understand and listen to directions. I will also help with anything the library will need. I will

donate things to the library and help create

Reflection by Max Dickey

I think I did I great job being a techspert and so did us all. We did so good on the book fair that I think this was the best one. I can’t believe we made over 4,000 dollars on sales alone and all the money we raised for all for books that’s just great. We better win first place and if we don’t that will be so disappointed!

My goal for myself as a techspert I want to be a better person in general. Like instead of getting to school and I see someone get bullied I want to be that kid that stands up to the bully and say “ This is wrong ok. Go to class.” Some goals that the techsperts can set as a group is to all make the next book fair even better. We have already started brain storming ideas for the new book fair and for the ideas it looks like a challenge. And we will overcome that challenge and make this book fair the best one yet!

Reflection by Gracie Creason

Last semester was great but as a whole our Techsperts were amazing. We got a whole bookfair together, helped kids throughout the year(with iPads,) and We awesome at doing it all. But also as a whole we could work at progressing more. In the bookfair a lot happened in the last week we should have gotten more done earlier so we could've matey more ideas in. As an individual I try my hardest to help everyone and do the normal things that I normally do  like bookfair, running errands, checking out books and such. But I could improve on being on task a lot more because I get carried away with random things.

My goals for this semester are to make this bookfair better, help out more, don't get carried away as much and be a better student. This class is fun but it's a lot of work just as much work as in the classroom if not more at times. We are always coming up with ideas to make the bookfair better. Trying to find new apps for teachers to use. And working with new technology. This year is going to be great, but it can be even better if the Techsperts and I all improve on anything and everything that needs improvement.

Reflection by Niyah Williams

I think last semester with the bookfair work as a whole went well! Many worked hard and came

up with new ideas. Everyone put in a part and was always helping. Many decorations were put

up and everything was organized. I also think family night went well to we got great sales and

we got to visit with our community! Everyone got along and worked together.

I think something I could work at better next time is helping Mrs. Travis out more! I stayed on

track but I feel like I could've did more! Also I think I could've been a little better at coming up

with more good ideas!Hopefully this semester will be a great start! I can get a new start on our

next bookfair that is coming this spring get excited because we are gonna keep putting good

work into this!

Reflection by Madyson Harris

My first semester as a techspert has come to an end. I definitely

think it was a very successful one, but there are numerous things that

not only me, but that we could all improve on. One thing I specifically

as a techspert did well was my blog post. Another thing I think I did

well at was coming up with ideas for the book fair. Something I think I

need to improve on is portraying my ideas better in the book fair. My

opinion on what all of the techsperts as a whole did well on was the

book fair. It was a struggle to get as much done as we did, but I

definitely think it was one of the best book fairs we have had since I

have been at the middle school. As a whole we could also do better at

communicating with each other. I think all of the classes are Thinking

of ideas and using each other's materials to create their own projects.

To solve the issue of not portraying my book fair ideas as well as

they could be, I will jot down all materials needed, and how I intend to

create it. A valid solution to our communication problem through

techsperts is to have a notebook or paper to keep track of what

materials we will be using and what are ideas are, so that we are

aware of each other's ideas, and all of intentions towards them. Then

we may not be as chaotic and or confusing,
