Setting Goals

Setting Goals
 By: Molly Jones
Setting goals is a great way to do a lot of things, become better, and get good grades. Setting goals isn’t always hard either, and it is a great way to organize yourself, and get better.
I set goals for a lot of things, like sports and my grades. Some of my most important things are golf, dance, soccer, and especially my grades. I know that when I get in high school, I really want to be part of the Tigerettes dance team. I set goals for this by telling myself, “I’m going to master that turn or jump by next week!” I really keep myself determined, and in the long run, I have turned out to be (in my opinion) a pretty good dancer. Golf, one of the harder sports I play, is really something I have to set goals for, and I do this so I get better, and can eventually receive scholarships! All of these things can, and WILL help me.
My biggest priority is my grades. I want to keep a high GPA and get mostly 4.0s. To do this, I really need to set goals to study, and to practice, practice, and practice. I am in algebra this year, and I set a goal to get my homework every night, so I can get good grades since it is a high school class.
As you can see, I’ve learned setting goals is a great way to achieve, and be my best. You should try setting goals pertaining to you, like to not get any minor referrals, or to make a touchdown for your football team. Make goals, because they are VERY helpful!
