Book Fair Ending

Book Fair Ending.
Isabelle Sears.
The book fair of this semester was Under the Sea theme. There were lots of decorations like the yellow submarine, the shark, Ursula, the mermaid tiger, jellyfish, and the hanging boat. It was also fun blowing up all of the balloons that we hung up.
The book fair was by far the coolest book fair that we have had, it was so fun and really cool, it was really fun to set up to paint and hang up all of the decorations we’ve been making and how hard we’ve been working on all of it. It has also been fun making all of the advertisements.

The Sea of Knowledge Book Fair: Excelsior Springs Middle School by Jestin Taylor
The book fair this year has been a blast. Between the events leading up to it and the book fair itself, every step of the way has been a great community effort. There have been many contributors from Excelsior Springs that have donated their time and resources to help make this one of the best book fairs yet. Along with the community, the students have helped to bring this entire book fair together. Overall this book fair has been a great success.

One of the contributors was the father of a student; he made the giant Ursula statue, from the little mermaid. Another donator was a kind person who helped us to reach our goal for the all for books project. Some of the other sponsors were local businesses that donated prizes for the games; such as the pirate wheel of fortune.

For us as the students; the book fair has been a huge blast as well as a big responsibility. We’ve been in charge of helping to set up the decorations for the entire book fair. From the moment that the book fair itself was announced we’ve been in charge of helping to hype the events that were happening with it; from the fair being buy-one get-one free to the squid hat event that was revolving around the teachers.

The book fair itself was extraordinary. We had a large turnout, the book fair being difficult to navigate at times in fact. Some members of the community also donated an abundance of snacks for people to eat during the fair, which was an extremely nice thing for them to do. We had raffles that gave some of the guests a prize, so that they might come back again another year.

End of Bookfair

The Bookfair is ending tomorrow and I think we were very successful this semester. It was under the sea themed and we called ours Sea of Knowldege. We had picture opportunities to take pictures inside of a submarine and a shark. We also have a boat hanging from the ceiling.

We have blue bags covering the windows to look like water, and our lights have blue paper over them to make the learning commons tinted blue. We have Ursla to advertise for next semesters book fair, the theme being Monsters. We have the entrance looking like we are walking into a hole in a ship. It's sure going to be a lot to take down.

Ending the book fair

Ending the book fair blog. By Ashlynne Dempsey

This year our book fair has been really fun and interesting. The decorations are really cool and I don't want to have to take them down. I hope that we get first or at least second. Everyone has worked really hard on this book fair. Whenever the books came it changed the whole library and made it look even better. I can't wait to see who wins the pirate flag contest and gets to knock down the boat.

The book fair has come and is almost over. Unfortunately, we are cutting our goals a little short. There is still a day left, though, and we will have to make the most of it. While our goals may be close, it is possible for us to make them thanks to some last minute donators and shoppers.
Although it may not be the most fiscally successful fair, we didn't do so bad on the decorations. They really were top notch and the atmosphere of the learning commons was amazing. From the ship wreck entrance with port holes to the hanging boat, we did a tremendous job. Our major fault was underestimating the effectiveness of speech. We made tons of great advertisements but didn't actually talk with others too much. For the next fair, though our class will have come and gone, the people constructing it will know what to do. Ms. Travis can help stress the importance of advertising directly to potential customers. Then we will definitely win.
However, all hope isn't lost. We could still win just due to the sheer success in how well our book fair has been presented. Even if we don't win, this fair will have been a great time to learn necessary information for the next. The next book fair will be themed for the upcoming  "Monsters Inc" series movie.

The book fair was a fantastic experience for me. It was amazing to help make the book fair. I helped make some of the things in the book fair such as the treasure chest and the portholes on the entrance.

The contests in the book fair are also very fun and interesting to participate in. Such as the boxes and also the squid hat contest. It's been awesome to see the book fair come together and finish in the end. It's been an amazing time in the book fair and I'm glad I got to be apart of it.

Working on the Book Fair

Working on the Book Fair
Devon Bates
Working on the book fair was a lot of fun. We worked hard and made sure to make it look like an undersea adventure. It took a long time to set up the book fair with all the things we added, like blue paper on the lights to make it dark, fish hanging from the ceiling, and a boat from the ceiling as well.
Being able to work on the book fair was great because you then get to sit back and look at how much its changed over the time it took to make it how it is now. Another good thing about working on the book fair is you get to brag. “Hey you see that fish” “yeah” “I made that” “WOAH”. Plus you get to check out all the new books when you don’t have any work to do.
Finishing the book fair was nice to be able to look at the hard work that lots of people put into it and see how much you can do with a group of people on one project. The book fair is coming to a close and so is the school year so get ready for some time away before you’re called back to the battle of setting up for the next one.

Sea of Knowledge Book Fair

The Sea of Knowledge Book Fair By: Wesley Thompson
We have had a great book fair this year from start to finish. Setting up the book fair was probably the hardest part. After that was over and the book fair was open everyone felt a sudden feeling of relief. Now that the book fair is almost over, it is very relieving as we don’t have to do all of the decorations anymore. We all worked very hard on setting up the book fair. Now we are almost done with the book fair and everyone is very excited as this book fair draws to an end.
The most exciting part was when the book fair opened. We all got to see the work that we did being put to use. It was still a lot of work but we all knew that this would be the most exciting part. As the book fair was open we all finished putting decorations up and made more blogs and advertisements to make more people want to check out the Sea of Knowledge.
Now the book fair is coming to an end and this is the most exciting part. We all get to see how this book fair will end. We don’t have to make any more decorations, all we have to do is take down the ones that we have. The book fair has been great this year and we all have done some good work. We even have some decorations for next year’s book fair.

Book Fair Ending

The book fair was absolutely outstanding. The looks of it were great.  There was a boat that hung from the ceiling that the people of the pirate flag contest get to hit as a piƱata. There were three types of winners, most creative, most artistic, and most unique.  They also had a selfie booth. That included a submarine with the windows cut out and the mouth of a shark that you put your head in.
The book fair ended Friday. We had a pretty great outcome for the most part. We wish more people could have had the opportunity to come to the family night. They had food and a silent auction. We also still had the teacher contest going on with the squid had, but we still don’t know who has won. It’s sad to see the book fair come to an end. With it being my last year in middle school it’s been fun to be a part of everything and all the months in advance planning.
