The Patriot Pen

Have you ever wanted to
do something great for the American war heroes? Do you like to write and earn
money? Well if you answered yes than I have a wonderful thing for you! It’s a
writing contest called Patriot’s Pen.
Patriot’s Pen is a
nationwide contest sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars. The theme is why you
appreciate American veterans. Anyone in 6th through 8th
grade can sign up as well as homeschool students. The top 46 entries get at
least $500. The 1st place winner gets a whopping $5000 plus an
all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C.
The rules are to have
300-400 words no more no less and you must write your own essay. entries must
be submitted by November 1, 2014. If you are interested get a form in the office
or library and get started. I hope you do your best I will be competing as well
so good luck!
