Basketball by: Ashlynne Dempsey
This
year I am doing 8th grade basketball. This is my first year of ever
doing basketball. At the beginning of the season I was really scared a nervous
that I didn’t know what to do. Now, I am confident and having a lot of fun with
it. We have 3 weeks of the season left. Out of the 6 games that we have had a
team has won three and b team has won two. I’m not disappointed about it though
because we have tried our hardest and put a lot of effort into it. I hope that
we can win the rest of our games and have fun for the rest of the season.
During
this season we have had three girls get hurt and only one of them wasn’t able
to come back. Luckily I haven’t got hurt! Some of our home games have been
really scary because a lot of people are watching and the other team was really
good. For my first year of basketball I had a lot of fun because I got to do it
with all my friends and they have helped me and encouraged me on.
