If you liked the book series Divergent then you might like Hunger Games. Hunger Games is about a place once known as North America but now is the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. 16 year old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister. Her sister Prime soons gets called to represent her district but Katniss will not let her sister stand up there a fight for her life. Katniss volunteers as tribute. But Katniss has been to make the sacrifice to leave her sister and mother alone. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. Katniss soon finds herself in between a life or death situation.
