Fruit makes you happy and healthy. They are grown and
enjoyed all over the world. There are many types of fruits out there from the common
apples and oranges to the exotic dragonfruit and durian. Each week a different
fruit will be featured, including its origin, five facts and a world record
about it. Let’s begin. This week’s feature fruit is a
Grapefruit
Grapefruit is the hybrid of a Jamaican sweet orange and a
the Indonesian pomelo. The sweet orange is of Asian descent. It was first
documented by Griffith Hughes, who described specimens from Barbados.
