This week was our second game of the season. We had to face oak grove at their high school. Unfortunately both A and B-team lost but both teams fought for a win we did well.  A-team didn’t do well in the first half they had 27 to 0 then in the second half we got to 16 to 27 so we did good in the second half. A-team had 16 to 27 and our B–team lost 0 to 6 but they did well to.

          Now we are 1-1 because we won against Cameron and lost against Oak grove. Next week we face Harrisonville at are home field so we would appreciate it if u came and cheer for us. We have about 4 more games and three of them are home and one that is away.

                This week is another short week, yet I have gotten quite a bit completed. We have a three and-a-half day week this week, and then Friday we have no school. I have just finished reading my book, and I’m going to start writing a summary and making a presentation on why people should read it. 

                On my book presentation, I plan to use Chatterpix, Aurasma, or Animoto.  I really liked the book, I related to it a lot with the main character having surgery because of a sports injury, and I’m also going through a surgery recovery. I plan to have this presentation done by next week.

This week we had spirit week!! Spirit week is a good way to be funny at school. On Monday we had super hero day, Tuesday twin day, Wednesday decades day, and Thursday black and gold day.

The grade that has the most people dress up gets the spirit stick. The spirit stick is like a trophy that is placed in the 6^th, 7^th, or 8^th grade tiger cabinet!! So dress up and have fun!!!!!

                        This week at E.S.M.S. is spirit week. Monday was Superhero Day and many of us (including teachers) dressed up as our favorite superheroes. Batman and Superman were both popular characters and some students even brought masks. Tuesday was Twin Day and our entire school was full of fraternal twins. Kids here came up with very many creative and unusual ideas.

                   Today is decades day and E.S.M.S. feels like a living timeline. There are people dressed up as far back as the 1890’s! Crazy 80’s clothes and colors are everywhere and poodle skirts are also a popular fashion today.  The teachers especially got into today seeing as they are all old enough to have actually experienced these trends.

                   Tomorrow is Tiger Spirit Day and I can tell that our school is going to be all decked out in Tigers gear. Notably because some of Excelsior’s sports teams have started up and all of the uniforms and jerseys have at least some black and gold in them.

                   So spirit week and our first game are next week and I’m really excited because twin day should be easy because we all we wear our jerseys on Tuesday and then we leave at three to leave for our football game against Cameron. I don’t understand the decade day because I don’t really know what to wear because I don’t know people wore in 2004 because I was only three.

Then I’m excited for Thursday because we have a half day but we still have to come to practice then after practice I’m leaving for the lake.  So I’m pretty busy this week but it all pays up for it because we go to the lake so it’s a win, win for me.  This Friday we don’t have any school so now this is due Thursday so this week has been pretty fun we won our football game and next week were going to oak grove so we need some luck. To face Oak Grove because they are really good.

Our fist football game was in Cameron last night September the 16. The B-team played first and the A-team played second. The B-team got a win with 6 to 0 and the A-team got a win with 38 to 0. I played on the A-team and I got a couple of tackles and I got through the line a couple of times and almost hit the quarter back.  

In the last quarter the coach told us to kick the ball to the end zone but the kicker decided on his own to do an on-side kick and we had a 38 point lead. When we got to the sidelines the coach started to yell not to do that. We knelt the ball where we were four times so they could get the ball close to their end zone so we would not look like bad sportsmen.
